Position Overview Territory Managers are responsible for cold calling, prospecting, and building relationships that will increase account revenue growth and customer satisfaction within specified product lines and geography. The role focuses on driving new business, achieving sales expectations, and providing exceptional service to physicians and hospital decision makers.
Essential Job Functions
Develop and implement sales strategies to promote Shockwave products to hospital personnel and physicians.
Meet with physicians and hospital personnel to determine needs, goals, and case types.
Educate customers on product usage through presentations and demonstrations.
Attend procedures in operating rooms and advise on product applications.
Achieve sales/revenue objectives for the territory to attain quota.
Partner with Clinical, Field Clinical reps, Marketing, R&D to identify opportunities.
Conduct consultative sales calls with Interventional Cardiologists and Vascular Surgeons.
Build and maintain solid customer relationships.
Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and clinical speaking ability.
Complete timely reports (sales summaries, expense, product tracking, etc.).
Maintain ethical and professional company representation.
Comply with FDA, medical device, and quality standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years’ territory manager experience in hospital-based life sciences (cardiovascular preferred); 3 years of interventional sales support accepted.
Experience in catheter technology for occlusive vascular disease, endovascular, atherectomy, stent, coronary sales preferred.
Ability to meet and exceed assigned sales plan on a quarterly and annual basis.
Independently manage time, resources, and budget within territory.
Not debarred by FDA for medical device work.
Establish and maintain relationships with hospitals and physicians.
Work in fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Valid driver’s license required.
Teamwork and flexibility to changing requirements.
Physical requirements: ability to sit for up to 2 hours, lift up to 25 lbs, work in air-conditioned or non‑temperature‑controlled spaces.
