Camp Smith in Hawaii
to support the
US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM)
Director of Training and Exercises (J7) by designing, executing, and assessing joint training initiatives in the INDOPACOM Headquarters. Experience with the military and familiarity with staff organization and protocols are desirable. Responsibilities
Primary planner and facilitator for the biannual USINDOPACOM Joint Exercise Planners Course. Develop and oversee directorate-level joint training program and events focused on USINDOPACOM objectives. Lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute training events. Coordinate with INDOPACOM staff, Joint Staff J7, service components, and other combatant commands to ensure seamless training integration. Manage documentation, metrics, and reports using the Joint Training Tool (JTT). Evaluate training effectiveness, recommend enhancements, and prepare briefings for senior leaders. Ensure compliance with DoD directives, USINDOPACOM policy, and theater engagement priorities. Assist other training personnel as required. Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors and ten (10)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree. Proven experience planning and implementing training events. Understanding of joint training doctrine (CJCSI 3500 series), campaign planning, and theater security cooperation. Skilled in working with JTT, Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), and Task Messaging System (TMS). Able to translate strategic objectives into executable training scenarios. Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead diverse teams. PMP or other project/program management certification preferred. Required Clearance
Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI. Must have current US Citizenship. Target salary range $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. Seniority level
