Position : Associate Broker – Investment Sales, Los Angeles, CA

(Full‑time)

Role Summary : This role is ideal for a motivated individual eager to support Northmarq’s expanding investment sales team. Working closely with senior brokers, you will gain invaluable experience in commercial real estate, focusing on investment sales with the potential for significant earnings and career advancement.

Position Responsibilities

Market to new and/or under‑marketed clients, with a goal of generating new business.

Create and build your own business plan, including relationship building and learning the business.

Prepare underwriting packages for investment real estate.

Learn the real‑estate market and sub‑markets of Atlanta, building relationships with brokers, title companies, insurance agents, and other market participants.

Learn deal structure in all aspects of prospecting and listing process.

Establish priorities and support the mentor/coach and objectives for the local office.

Associate Broker Program Timeline 1st Year

Assist the office’s lead underwriter by learning company templates, interpreting owner’s financial statements, performing rent and sales surveys, and developing pricing skills.

Document database updates with recent sales, ownership, and contact information.

Prospect calling to prospective purchasers, leading to owner calls for listings, supported by mentor/coach.

2nd Year

Continue the same program, expanding market reach and improving market knowledge and skills under close monitoring by the Managing Director or senior broker.

What We’re Looking For

Investment sales experience preferred.

Relationship building and sales skills with demonstrated results.

Strong negotiation, influencing, and problem‑solving skills.

Knowledge of commercial real‑estate underwriting techniques.

4‑year college degree (finance, marketing, real estate, business).

Ability to work independently, stay motivated, and handle multiple projects.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.

Must hold a current valid real‑estate license in the state where you will work prior to starting the program or be willing to obtain one within the first 120 days.

Benefits Highly competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401K match, paid parental leave and adoption assistance, education assistance, volunteer paid time off, charitable contribution match, and more.

Minimum starting salary : $70,304 per year ($33.80 per hour) plus bonus and full benefits. Compensation offered will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience.
