Job Summary We are seeking experienced,
Northeast Ohio PCB Layout candidates
to apply for the role of PCB Layout Designer.
The PCB Layout Designer (AKA PCB / CAD Designer) will play a critical role in the execution of PCB layout. The role will primarily entail close collaboration with clients, electrical engineers, and other NS team members to produce detailed layouts of printed circuit boards and supporting documentation for production using CAD (Altium, PADS, Xpedition, etc.) software.
Essential Functions
Libraries management, PCB Layout, component placement review and approval
Develop PCB layout solutions
Lead PCB layout reviews (Including high speed feedback, e.g. crosstalk analysis and best practice strategies)
Work with cross‑functional product development teams in supporting product development
Maintain PADS libraries
Keep up to date on latest PCB material, layer construction, manufacturing guidelines, and implement into design as applicable
Electronic components selection and qualification through collaboration with the engineering team
Create engineering documentation that allows the manufacturing of PCBAs, including schematics, bills of materials, assembly drawings
Work in a multi‑disciplinary team, consisting of electrical hardware and mechanical engineers
Participate in periodic departmental and program meetings to ensure continuity and cohesion amongst the team
Demonstrate the ability to respect and support colleagues at all levels. Consistently contribute to a positive work environment for all associates. Mentor junior associates, as appropriate
Competencies or Experience Requirements Mandatory
Minimum of 5 years of relevant career experience
Advanced proficiency in CAD‑related software (Altium, PADS, Xpedition, and others if possible)
The ability and desire to ‘flex’ between military, medical, consumer, and industrial product types.
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

10+ years in relevant career experience
Consultancy experience with at least one prior employer
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working within a multi‑disciplinary team environment
Travel Limited travel
Benefits Total Compensation Salary Range: $84,500 - 136,500. This range includes base salary, bonus potential, and benefits. The actual salary offered depends on numerous factors including but not limited to local labor costs, the position's qualifications in relation to candidate's job‑related knowledge, relevant employment experience, education, certifications, and skills.
