Senior Director of Analytics
role at
The Farmer's Dog
Who We Are The Farmer’s Dog was born from a mission to change the landscape of pet health, providing dogs and their humans with honest, smart, and simple care. We’re starting by radically improving the $90 billion pet food industry, replacing bags of highly-processed pellets with a personalized subscription service that sends complete and balanced, freshly‑made dog food directly to customers’ doors. Our ultimate goal is to create innovative, delightful and personalized experiences across all aspects of pet care, and we believe our direct‑to‑consumer business model, holistic approach to growth, and dynamic culture uniquely position us to shepherd this backward industry into the future.
To date, The Farmer’s Dog has delivered over 1 billion meals nationwide and raised over $150 M in funding. We are building a company as healthy as the dogs who eat our meals, and we’re looking for the best and brightest to join us in creating peace of mind for customers and meaningful change in pet care.
What We Stand For and Where You’ll Come In We’re looking for an experienced Senior Director of Analytics to work on Supply Chain & Operations and Product Development efforts. You will be responsible for synthesizing a wide variety of data sources, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, and creating a best‑in‑class experiment design and insight generation engine. Your role will help remove blind spots in our food and box journey, sharpen our understanding of input‑to‑output metrics, and drive the future of product and operational decision‑making.
How You'll Make An Impact
Define and execute the analytics vision, strategy, and roadmap for supply chain and product development, communicating clear goals, priorities, and stakeholder alignment.
Build, lead, and mentor a high‑impact Analytics team, fostering development, empowerment, and collaboration.
Develop and oversee scalable data infrastructure, reporting, and advanced analytics to enable supply chain efficiency, product lifecycle management, and operational scalability.
Partner cross‑functionally with Product, R&D, Operations, Finance, and Engineering to align business requirements with scalable data architectures and analytics capabilities.
Collaborate with Data Science on automation, forecasting, and predictive modeling to strengthen supply chain resilience and accelerate product innovation.
Provide macro perspectives on supply chain performance and product portfolio health, surfacing data‑driven insights to inform KPIs, trade‑offs, and strategic pivots.
Monitor supplier, production, and fulfillment performance, using experimentation to validate causality, identify risks, and uncover opportunities.
Deeply analyze product development workflows, supplier networks, logistics, and fulfillment operations to optimize value across the end‑to‑end supply chain.
We're Excited About You Because
You have 10+ years of experience in analytics, data, or software engineering (experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or product development analytics is a strong plus).
You’re a strong people leader with proven ability to build and lead high‑performing groups that foster empowerment, development, collaboration, and effective performance management.
You have a passion for data storytelling and inspiring action across product and operational teams.
You have expertise in BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
You are proficient in advanced analytical tools (SQL, Python, R).
You have experience building transformations in dbt and communicating fluently with Analytics and Data Engineering.
You are passionate about applying data to optimize supply chain efficiency, enable product innovation, and improve operational resilience.
You can translate business needs into technical requirements for Data Science, Data Engineering, and Analytics functions.
You possess expert‑level analytical skills and a track record of using data to drive measurable impact in product development and/or supply‑chain operations.
You are detail‑oriented, proactive, and excel as a self‑starter, managing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent written and verbal communication.
You build strong cross‑functional relationships and drive consensus.
You have experience leveraging data to drive strategic insights.
You love dogs.
