Job Description Target PR Range: 75‑85/hr. This position is part of the Data Science and Analytics team, responsible for applying advanced analytics techniques across clinical development processes, driving analytics innovation, and enabling data‑driven insights for complex business problems across R&D.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage and execute analytic needs for clinical trials, partnering with cross‑functional teams to support end‑to‑end clinical trial execution through fit‑for‑purpose analytics support.
Identify business needs and support the creation of RBQM deliverables, data review deliverables, and study‑specific reports or analyses.
Design work products as an analytics consultant, anticipate and identify issues affecting timelines or quality and develop solutions.
Lead and help establish design principles and standards to ensure consistent analytical work product and optimal user experience.
Develop prototypes, test methods, and algorithms, leveraging emerging statistical methodologies, ML, and AI to deliver innovative analytical solutions.
Support the clinical development continuum, including precision medicine initiatives.
Ensure adherence to federal regulations, GCPs, ICH Guidelines, SOPs, and functional quality standards; stay abreast of evolving regulations.
Collaborate as an analytics consultant with cross‑functional teams to evaluate progress of clinical trials and facilitate discussion of emerging risks.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
3+ years of analytics‑related experience in clinical research, with demonstrated high‑level analytics and leadership competencies.
Advanced proficiency in R, Python, or other statistical packages; intermediate‑level knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques.
Expert proficiency with visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, or equivalent.
Demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to explain analytical concepts in layman’s terms.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, and history of successful execution in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills in a matrixed work organization.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and projects.
Foster innovation and an entrepreneurial culture, continuously learning.
Influence cross‑functional stakeholders to unlock the full potential of data and analytics.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities; thrive in fast‑paced environments.
