Company Aston Carter is a global talent solutions firm. This position is for a mid‑sized aerospace company in South Seattle, WA.

Job Overview IT Systems Administrator – 6‑month contract‑to‑hire, fully onsite at South Seattle with occasional travel to Everett. Compensation: $35–$40/hr.

Key Responsibilities

Support IT requests and troubleshoot end‑user computing & access issues via the I.T. Help Ticket system.

Maintain and support end‑user personal computers (desktop & laptop), operating systems, Office 365, common applications, scanners & printers, office & mobile phones, and approved access to company applications and data.

Maintain and support server (virtual/physical) infrastructure, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, event log monitoring, system resource monitoring, light SQL database administration, data backup and recovery; assist in adding/refreshing server technologies & environments.

Maintain and support network infrastructure – internet & intranet connectivity, firewalls, routers, switches, and all network segments. Analyze performance with network utilities and tune for secure and performant connectivity.

Monitor IT performance dashboard to prevent/minimize events impacting the business and end users.

Work with IT, site, and 3rd‑party resources to execute IT‑related projects across multiple sites.

Qualifications

Must meet ITAR compliance.

Must be willing to submit to a drug test including THC screening.

3+ years of experience setting up domain users, reviewing group policies, managing OU permissions, and maintaining accounts and network passwords.

2+ years managing VMWare, vSphere, ESXi, resource pools, VMFS, and virtual switching.

2+ years managing firewall appliances such as SonicWall and Fortinet.

Hands‑on experience with Office 365 administration and MFA products.

Hands‑on experience with LAN/WAN technologies – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT/PAT, VLANs.

Strong organization, documentation, and prioritization skills.

Effective verbal and written communication of complex technical information to junior and senior levels.

Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks concurrently and respond to urgent scenarios.

Good understanding of PowerShell; familiarity with Linux/Unix desirable.

Compensation and Benefits Pay: $36.00–$40.00/hr. May include medical, dental & vision, critical illness, 401(k) plan, life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, employee assistance, PTO.
