Senior Consultant at Moodys NWC | Helping to build Top-Tier Product Management & AI Teams | Career Coach | Job Search Strategist Overview
We are seeking a Product Owner to lead the evolution of a critical internal application. This role requires a strong ability to understand legacy systems, translate business needs into actionable user stories, and incorporating user feedback into iterative development cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct deep dives into existing application architecture and workflows to build domain expertise.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UX, Engineering, QA, and Business Stakeholders) to define and refine product requirements.
Write clear, concise, and testable user stories that follow the INVEST criteria (Independent, Negotiable, Valuable, Estimable, Small, Testable).
Collaborate with Product Leads to maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
Ability to facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives in partnership with Scrum Leads and Engineering.
Gather and synthesize user feedback through interviews, usability testing, and analytics to inform product decisions.
Define acceptance criteria and validate story completion through demos and stakeholder reviews.
Support QA and Dev teams in understanding business context and resolving blockers.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst in an Agile environment.
Proven experience working in a high-functioning SDLC.
Proven ability to understand and evaluate benefits and trade-offs at a technical and business level.
Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with tools like Rally, Jira, or similar Agile management platforms.
Experience working with UX teams and interpreting wireframes and prototypes.
Preferred
Background in healthcare or CRM applications.
PO/PM Agile Certifications.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary for this position ranges from $110k/year in our lowest geographic market up to $130k/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Other forms of compensation are offered in the form of medical, vision, and dental benefits.
