Primary Purpose The Strategy Team is growing to better support our local brands and leadership team tackle the organization’s highest‑priority commercial strategic initiatives and identify continued near and long‑term growth opportunities. We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic, team‑orientated individual who is eager to work in an entrepreneurial environment to develop and execute ADUSA’s critical strategic initiatives.
Role Overview The Strategy Analyst will work with the Strategy Managers and Leads to:
Cross‑functionally help shape successful business plans and strategic decisions through the assessment of the current environment and marketplace
Develop strategic recommendations for the organization, often developing supporting analytics and presentations
Produce various competitive intelligence reports that are distributed company‑wide
Participate in key team discussions and share analysis, viewpoints and rationales
Assist with various ad‑hoc analysis, reporting and presentation development, often in partnership with key cross‑functional stakeholders

Flexible/Hybrid Work Schedule Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in‑person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, and Scarborough, ME.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
Duties And Responsibilities
Work with key stakeholders and cross‑functional departments on large initiatives and strategies, creating business cases, financial models, and key analytics in support of critical work (e.g., market scans, internal performance analyses, project plans)
Create presentations to help drive work forward and gain alignment on critical issues which will often require the art of storytelling within presentations
Help drive annual strategic planning and integrated business planning process through analysis and research
Conduct and/or maintain performance scorecards on key strategic initiatives across the organization as well as strategic competitive analysis and trends reporting, sharing insights to Leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s in Business Administration a plus)
2 to 4 years of strategy, process execution in grocery retail industry, and/or consulting industry preferred
Strong financial and business acumen
Understanding of corporate strategy principles and business operations
Domestic travel required with minimal notice required up to 20% per year
Preferred Qualifications
Comfortable with ambiguity and project‑based work
Ability to bring focus and structure to drive initiatives forward
Creative, structured, and objective problem solver
Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights
Ability to understand new concepts quickly and work in a fast‑paced dynamic work environment

Effectively communicates and collaborates with cross‑functional teams, executives and third parties

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $75,040 - $112,560
IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $86,320 - $129,480
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
