WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH The Jordan Costing & Engineering team sits within Jordan Product Creation and drives cost and value excellence across the entire footwear portfolio. In this role, you will partner closely with Design, Product Line Management, Product Development, Engineering, Sourcing, Material Development and Margin Planning to turn creative ideas into scalable, profitable products. You will also collaborate with both WHQ and Asia-based partners – including the Nike Value Engineering team to align on costing strategy and share best practices; the PMO (Partner Management Office) and PCC (Factory Partners) to ensure implement cost optimization. This role reports to Sr. Manager, Costing & Engineering. Together, these partnerships enable consistent, value-driven decision-making that balances performance, sustainability and profitability across Jordan Footwear.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON You’ll lead costing functions for assigned categories to guide cost excellence throughout the product creation lifecycle. You will shape costing strategies, influence design and product decisions, and drive cross-functional collaboration to balance performance, sustainability, and profitability.

In this role, you will:

Inform, drive, and facilitate decisions throughout the product creation process to maximize consumer value.

Establish and continuously improve best practices for cost engineering across global product creation teams.

Partner with design and development teams to identify cost-effective materials and construction methods.

Support cost reviews and provide actionable insights to achieve margin and financial targets.

Act as a subject-matter expert in cost engineering disciplines and contribute to margin planning and strategic sourcing.

Develop and deliver training to enhance cost capability across cross-functional partners.

Collaborate with engineering teams to promote innovative technologies that improve performance and cost efficiency.

Mentor and coach team members on Nike’s Costing Framework and Value Engineering principles.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in product development, costing, engineering, manufacturing, or related fields.

Proven expertise in footwear construction, material and manufacturing processes.

Strong understanding of how product creation decisions affect margin and profitability.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate clear, data-driven reports as needed,

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Ability to travel up to 10% of the year domestically and internationally.
