Account Executive (Sales)
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Account Executive (Sales) based in our Corporate (HQ) office located in Bell, CA, reporting to the SVP of Sales. The Account Executive will be responsible for prospecting, outside selling and ensuring new business, while using analytical skills to enhance communication with customers and internal teams.
Base pay range $70,000.00/yr – $100,000.00/yr
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Find and target new customers to grow your future branch’s customer list.
Create and execute plans to improve services, ensuring they meet customer and carrier needs.
Build and nurture lasting relationships with key customers and partners.
Use industry and market trend knowledge to boost sales and increase revenue.
Financial Performance & Growth
Drive financial performance, focusing on increasing gross profit margins and revenue.
Monitor financial metrics and KPIs closely, making adjustments to meet targets.
Develop and manage budgets from the outset, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Operations & Team Management
Shape and grow operations teams to support new and existing clients.
Ensure operations run efficiently, aligning with company standards and client expectations.
Implement best practices in logistics operations and continuously improve processes.
Manage and mentor staff, creating a productive work environment.
Maintain accurate client database and coordinate with customers on bookings and quotations.
Provide follow‑up resolution and troubleshooting for urgent issues.
Monitor account and booking activity, research new sales leads, and capture relevant data.
Qualifications
Windows Operating System proficiency, Excel/Outlook.
Advanced computer knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
3–5 years experience in freight brokerage or strong business development and revenue growth track record.
3 years’ experience in Ocean import at NVOCC and Ocean Freight Forwarding Sales.
Strong P&L and commercial sales background, Sales Operations knowledge.
Experience in logistics, supply chain or sales support.
Proficient in data entry, familiarity with AS400 or similar systems.
Strong knowledge of ocean freight forwarding processes and logistics.
Customer service skills, analytical and communication skills.
Self‑motivated, competitive, organized, and able to motivate team members.
