Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of your start date. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Former participants are ineligible to apply for the EDRP incentive. Compensation & Benefits

Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): A recruitment incentive may be offered to highly qualified candidates. Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): A relocation incentive may be offered to highly qualified candidates. Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): Learn more. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases. Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME). Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA. Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care. Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory. CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification). Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided. Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting. Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care services to a defined panel of patients and deliver clinical examination, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic diseases, preventive care, and coordination of care for a panel of primary care patients. Order laboratories and diagnostic studies, diagnose and formulate treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions within the scope of Medicine practice. Refer to specialists when additional input and treatment outside of the scope of the physician's experience and training is required. Monitor PACT team performance to assess adherence to VA standards, assure quality and effectiveness of care, and meet VA performance measures. Provide outstanding customer service, assist patient advocate and administration in resolving patient concerns and inquiries, and lead the team in assisting the patient advocate and administration. Exercise medical decision‑making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for a specific group of patients. Maintain excellent communication skills and relationships with staff and community, and elicit cooperation from others. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including social work, pharmacy, mental health, nutrition, and other services. Perform other duties as assigned. Schedule
