Accountant / Office Manager

$60,000/year + performance bonus Location:

8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant/Office Manager to oversee accounting and daily business office management tasks, to ensure a smooth functioning of office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, including QuickBooks online, double entry bookkeeping and financial reporting. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall administrative functions of the organization. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company policies. Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable, double entry bookkeeping, and balance sheet reconciliation. Prepare regulatory reports and assist with governmental accounting requirements. Maintain accurate financial records using financial software to track expenses and revenues. Ensure adherence to SOX compliance standards in all financial reporting activities. Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and budgeting processes. Provide administrative support, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and maintaining office supplies. Train and supervise administrative staff, fostering a positive work environment. Qualifications Proven experience as an Accountant / Office Manager, in a similar administrative role. Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online, accounting principles, including financial accounting concepts and practices. Proficiency in double entry bookkeeping, accounts payable processes, and balance sheet reconciliation. Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and governmental accounting standards is preferred. Experience with financial software tools for record keeping and reporting. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
