Job Title: Operations Director

Location: Los Angeles, California, USA (Hybrid/Remote Work Available)

Reporting to: General Manager (North America) / Global Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Job Overview: Bitstamp is one of the world's leading digital asset trading platforms, committed to providing global users with secure, stable, and efficient cryptocurrency trading and Web3 services.

As the Operations Director for the Los Angeles office, you will be responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day operations, driving business growth strategies, coordinating cross‑departmental projects, and supporting compliance efforts. Your mission is to ensure Bitstamp's continued success and brand development in the North American market.

This position offers flexible work arrangements; qualified candidates can choose hybrid or fully remote work.

Key Responsibilities: Strategy and Business Planning Develop and execute the annual business and operational strategy for the Los Angeles office.

Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and user behavior, and propose optimisation solutions.

Team and Organizational Management Lead and manage the local team, including operations, marketing, public relations, and customer service.

Cultivate a collaborative, efficient, and responsible corporate culture.

Operations and Process Optimization Oversee day‑to‑day operations, including product launches, marketing campaigns, customer support, and data analytics.

Promote automation and data‑driven decision‑making to optimise resources and reduce costs.

Compliance and Risk Control Work closely with the legal and compliance teams to ensure compliance with relevant U.S. and California regulatory requirements.

Establish risk identification and mitigation mechanisms to maintain platform integrity and user trust.

Partnerships and External Relations Build and maintain strong relationships with local financial institutions, regulatory agencies, industry associations, and media partners.

Represent Bitstamp at blockchain and Web3 industry events to enhance brand awareness.

Finance and Performance Management Oversee budget preparation, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure operational goals are achieved.

Provide regular business updates and strategic reports to headquarters.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.

At least 20 years of management experience.

In-depth understanding of the cryptocurrency and Web3 ecosystem and the U.S. regulatory environment.

Possesses exceptional leadership, cross‑cultural communication skills, and strategic thinking abilities.

Fluent in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous senior management experience in exchanges, payments, or fintech companies.

Extensive experience in blockchain project management, product growth, or compliance operations.

Familiarity with major platforms such as OKX, Binance, or Coinbase.
