The Infrastructure Security and Network Specialist is a hands‑on position responsible for providing technical direction and guidance in the development, implementation and maintenance of the company’s cybersecurity controls in accordance with NIST specifications. The role leads the development and implementation of security controls, mentors colleagues, ensures secure cloud practices are followed, and assists the broader infrastructure team with customer support activities. Key Responsibilities
Oversee, evaluate, and support documentation, validation, assessment, and authorization processes to ensure systems meet cybersecurity and risk requirements. Ensure appropriate treatment of risk, compliance, and assurance requirements from internal and external perspectives. Analyze and develop the integration, testing, operation, and maintenance of system security. Develop or enhance existing policies to support cybersecurity initiatives. Respond to security events within the domain, conducting mitigation, response, and recovery to preserve information security. Analyze digital evidence and investigate incidents to support system/network vulnerability mitigation. Manage network security technologies including firewalls, switches, IPS/IDS, proxies, URL filtering, IP whitelisting/blacklisting, geo‑fencing, DDoS protection, VPNs, and related tools. Maintain secure environments on Windows domains, including Active Directory, IIS, DHCP, DNS, Kerberos, Group Policy, scripting, patch management, endpoint management, AV & EDR tools, SNMP/WMI/Syslog management and monitoring. Operate SIEM tools feeding SOC operations, managing tuning, alert thresholds, initial investigations, and reporting threat analytics to stakeholders. Qualifications
3+ years of enterprise information security experience. 5+ years of network/firewall experience in a Cisco hardware environment. 8+ years of technical experience in Windows server environments. 8+ years of technical experience in Windows workstation environments. In‑depth knowledge of NIST 800‑53, ISO‑27001, and similar security and risk frameworks. Desired certifications: CCNA, CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM or similar. Benefits
