Position Details We are seeking a visionary Enterprise Data Architect (EDA) to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data strategy and infrastructure. As part of our technology leadership team, you will ensure that data management aligns with business objectives and integrates seamlessly with our technology strategy. In this role, you will guide the design of a scalable data architecture, define governance frameworks, and enable data-driven decision‑making across the organization. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and analytics experts, the EDA will ensure that the organization’s data is actionable, secure, and well‑integrated to support both current operations and future innovation. Your work will be key to supporting our digital transformation and ongoing efforts to enhance business operations through effective data usage.
Responsibilities
Data Strategy Development
Define and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with business goals and objectives.
Integrate data management and technology strategies to ensure seamless alignment.
Data Architecture Design
Develop and maintain a data architecture blueprint that guides the flow, storage, and management of data across various platforms.
Ensure data is well‑organized, accessible, and supports both structured and unstructured data needs.
Data Governance
Establish and enforce governance frameworks to ensure high‑quality, consistent, and secure data.
Develop policies for data stewardship, metadata management, and data standards.
Monitor and ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR and HIPAA.
Data Integration
Lead the integration of data systems across cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid environments.
Facilitate smooth data interaction between diverse platforms (Salesforce, Policy Management Systems, Appian, Workday etc.), ensuring consistency and efficiency.
Technology Evaluation and Adoption
Evaluate, recommend, and implement new data technologies, such as data platforms, databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
Collaboration with Enterprise Architect, IT and Business Teams
Partner with IT leaders, business stakeholders, and analytics teams to align data strategies with business needs.
Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business units to ensure effective communication and alignment.
Data Security and Privacy
Design and implement data security frameworks to protect sensitive data.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and enforce secure data access policies.
Performance and Scalability
Design data architectures capable of handling large‑scale and real‑time data applications.
Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
Emerging Technologies
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, and big data analytics, and integrate them into data strategies as appropriate.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s).
Proven experience as an Enterprise Data Architect or similar role.
Strong background in data governance, data integration, and data security.
Experience with cloud technologies, data lakes, and big data platforms.
Familiarity with technology tooling and modernized tech stack including Dataiku, Snowflake, DBT, Airbyte, Sigma, Qlik, Fivetran, Salesforce, and Workday.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements, including GDPR and HIPAA.
Experience working cross‑functional teams to align business needs with data strategies.
Knowledge of emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and big data analytics.
Proven experience in system architecture within an Agile framework (SAFe highly desirable).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
