to help government contractors work smarter streamlining accounting operations, enhancing analytics, and improving decision‑making through predictive insights and intelligent workflows.
Position Overview JAMIS is looking for an experienced government contract financial professional with a strong background in enterprise accounting software and an interest in AI‑driven business solutions.
The preferred candidate will ideally have advanced knowledge and experience using a popular GovCon accounting application, including JAMIS Prime, Acumatica, Deltek Costpoint, or Unanet.
The primary role of the JAMIS Solution Engineer is to demonstrate how government contractors can automate and optimize their GovCon accounting processes, including time and expense, labor distribution, job costing, billing, contract management, procurement, and reporting, using the advanced functionality and AI‑enhanced capabilities of JAMIS Prime. Working closely with the Sales Account Executive, you will provide strategic guidance to prospective clients, showing how technology, data, and AI can be leveraged to drive compliance, efficiency, and growth.
This position reports to the Vice President of Solution Engineering and may be based at one of our JAMIS offices or remote.
Support sales discovery calls with existing and prospective clients.
Review and provide input on RFP responses.
Deliver engaging product demonstrations showcasing JAMIS Prime’s automation and AI‑driven capabilities.
Support product information requests and questions from the sales team.
Collaborate with sales to design customized, solution‑oriented presentations.
Create demo scripts and custom scenarios highlighting GovCon accounting best practices and AI‑enabled efficiencies.
Conduct sales‑to‑services handoff calls and ensure alignment with delivery teams.
Maintain and upgrade demo databases with the latest product and AI feature enhancements.
Support marketing events, webinars, and other client‑facing initiatives.
Communicate customer requirements and AI‑related feedback to product management teams.
Provide insight to product teams on new releases, emerging trends, and feature opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in an accounting or information technology field
5-7 years in ERP solution engineering field
Experience using a project‑based ERP such as JAMIS Prime, Acumatica, Deltek Costpoint, or Unanet strongly preferred
An understanding of the rules and regulations applicable to government contractor accounting systems and processes as per the FAR
Experience creating custom reports using BI reporting tools, especially Microsoft PowerBI
Previous experience in GovCon accounting, contract management, or financial project planning
Strong understanding of how AI and machine learning can improve forecasting, reporting, and financial accuracy in ERP systems.
Sales experience is preferred
