Program Summary The Software Aqua Badge Engineering Resources (SABER) program provides software engineering and development support to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Our teams design, build, integrate, test, and deploy modern, cloud-native software solutions that strengthen geospatial intelligence operations and advance mission readiness. SABER engineers are at the heart of NGA’s modernization—leveraging Agile DevSecOps, continuous delivery, and secure cloud architectures to enable faster, smarter decisions. The work is fast-paced, innovative, and deeply impactful, combining the latest in software design, automation, and analytics to deliver scalable systems that shape the future of geospatial intelligence.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, integration, and sustainment of enterprise‑grade software solutions for NGA systems.
Develop secure, cloud‑based applications following Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
Collaborate with systems, cloud, and data engineers to architect scalable, fault‑tolerant solutions.
Mentor mid‑level and junior developers and lead peer code reviews.
Support CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance to improve automation and deployment reliability.
Conduct software testing, integration, and validation across multiple environments.
Engage with government stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver mission‑aligned capabilities.
Identify opportunities for process automation, optimization, and innovation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 8–12 years of software development experience, or Master’s with 6–10 years.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
Hands‑on experience with Agile software development and DevSecOps principles.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or equivalent.
Experience designing and deploying applications in secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or C2S).
Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, and software integration techniques.
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting NGA or Intelligence Community software development programs.
Expertise with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Knowledge of secure coding standards and automated testing frameworks.
Familiarity with relational and non‑relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle).
AWS Certified Developer, SAFe Practitioner, or CompTIA Security+ certification.
Compensation Target Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000 The Ennoble First pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered include the responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, and applicable laws.
