PurposeMed is looking for a proactive, business‑minded Senior Legal Counsel to join our growing legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you'll be the go‑to legal partner for our expanding U.S. operations and help us navigate complex healthcare, privacy, and regulatory landscapes. Serving as day‑to‑day legal advisor for U.S. healthcare, regulatory, and compliance matters Translating complex regulations into clear, actionable business guidance across departments Overseeing HIPAA, AKS, 340B, consumer protection, and state licensing compliance Managing state‑by‑state entity, pharmacy, and provider registrations Supporting 340B program contracting and HRSA filings Drafting, negotiating, and closing a wide range of commercial agreements including Pharmacy Services, Clinical Services, and Vendor contracts Partnering with leadership on M&A, strategic collaborations, and complex transactions Developing and maintaining contract templates and management systems Supporting payor and PBM negotiations to align legal and business strategy Ensuring compliance with FDA, FTC, and state consumer laws impacting marketing and telehealth Responding to privacy or clinical incident investigations and regulatory audits Advising senior leadership on key risk trends and compliance strategy Coordinating with external counsel and internal teams for smooth execution Partnering with Growth, Marketing, Clinical, and Product teams to provide proactive legal counsel on new business strategies Building scalable legal processes that enable speed and compliance as we grow We need someone who has
A J.D. (or LL.B.) with admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (dual qualification in Canada a plus) 6+ years of experience in health law, regulatory compliance, or healthcare transactions Hands‑on experience advising telehealth, pharmacy, or multi‑state healthcare organizations A deep understanding of HIPAA, state health laws, and 340B or pharmacy compliance Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills The ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment A collaborative mindset and practical approach—comfortable saying 'yes, if' rather than 'no' A passion for healthcare innovation and improving access to care It would also be great if you have
Experience with 340B, PBM, or reimbursement structures M&A or venture‑backed healthcare experience Prior in‑house experience Compensation
