Position Summary

AMBFO’s Finance team is seeking a resourceful and independent Director who will report to the Vice President. This full‑time position is responsible for managing the Finance staff and performing traditional accounting and finance duties, including financial statement preparation and review, cash forecasting, treasury management, budgeting, and long‑range planning. The role provides financial consulting and strategic support to senior management and assumes administrator roles for various business systems, including Treasury Management and FP&A systems. The ideal candidate will be an over‑communicator, ask great questions, be willing to learn, and continuously improve.

Role and Responsibilities

Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts in compliance with GAAP, including intercompany processing and balancing.

Review financial statements, provide commentary on significant variances, and key performance indicators.

Review consolidated financial statements: Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Statements of Cash Flows.

Weekly and annual cash management and forecasting.

Partner with Finance and operational staff to identify and solve business problems, support strategic growth initiatives, and improve operating results.

Manage the creation of the annual budget and five‑year planning.

Calculate annual shared services allocation and collaborate with other Blank Family of Businesses companies on shared services allocation.

Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, fixed‑asset records, etc.

Manage team and continue development of assigned finance and accounting personnel.

Provide ad‑hoc internal reporting and financial analysis.

Implement various software solutions.

Assist the Vice President in researching accounting treatment for complex transactions.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

10‑12 years of accounting experience with progressive assignments and responsibilities, including 5‑7 years of previous management experience.

Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills; Windows‑based accounting system knowledge.

Solid understanding of GAAP; demonstrated aptitude for GL systems, sub‑systems, and interfaces; demonstrated ability to deliver GL system and reporting process improvements.
