Director of Construction Operations Omaha, NE (On-site)
This role is on-site in Omaha, NE, with approximately 30–40% travel as needed.

As part of our continued expansion, we have launched a new and growing Construction Division dedicated to delivering commercial retail remodels, refreshes, and program-based construction projects. This division is rapidly scaling, and we’re looking for a strategic and driven Director of Construction Operations to lead from our Omaha, Nebraska headquarters.
Position Overview The Director of Construction Operations will oversee daily operations, strategic planning, and execution across multiple projects. This leader will drive efficiency, build structure, and lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume construction environment.
The ideal candidate has a strong construction leadership background with experience managing multi-site refresh and remodel projects ranging from $5,000 to $1.5 million, as well as program work (standardized, high-volume projects completed across multiple sites).
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a growing construction team, ensuring alignment, accountability, and performance excellence.
Oversee the execution of commercial refresh, remodel, and program projects—balancing speed, cost, and quality.
Manage multiple concurrent projects with tight timelines and standardized deliverables.
Build operational processes and project standards for scheduling, quality control, and reporting.
Partner closely with the COO to set strategy, monitor budgets, and provide ongoing performance updates.
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure consistent communication, satisfaction, and retention.
Drive safety, compliance, and risk management across all active projects.
Lead with a proactive, hands‑on approach—balancing strategic oversight with practical field understanding.
Qualifications
10+ years in commercial construction management, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
Proven success leading high‑volume, quick‑turn projects in commercial or retail construction.
Strong background in program management or multi‑site work.
Experience overseeing P&L, bidding, and job costing.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead through change and growth.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field required (Master’s preferred).
Proficiency with Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, or similar construction management tools.
