Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Naval Architect / Marine Engineer
with at least
2–4 years of experience
in boat design and construction. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic professional eager to grow in the marine industry and contribute to the design and development of custom aluminum vessels. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and hands‑on involvement in the boatbuilding process.
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior naval architects and project managers in the design and development of aluminum workboats, ferries, landing craft, and research vessels.
Create and refine 2D/3D drawings, models, and design packages for production.
Perform stability analyses, hydrostatics, and structural calculations under guidance.
Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and operations teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
Provide design support during construction, including troubleshooting and field adjustments.
Research and apply industry standards (ABS, USCG, ISO) to ensure compliance.
Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, documentation, and software workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
2–4 years of relevant experience
in boatbuilding, shipyards, or design offices.
Proficiency with CAD and 3D modeling software (AutoCAD, Ship Constructor, Rhino, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
Familiarity with stability analysis and structural design tools.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Enthusiastic about the
boatbuilding industry
with a hands‑on, problem‑solving mindset.
Skills
Experience in aluminum vessel design and construction.
Knowledge of mechanical systems integration (propulsion, hydraulics, fuel, etc.).
Exposure to regulatory compliance (USCG, ABS, Lloyd’s).
Interest in growing with the company and taking on greater responsibility over time.
