C&S Companies is seeking a Construction Assistant Project Manager for our General Contracting business for Multifamily type projects. This APM will assist Project Management and field construction staff in coordinating and administration of general contracting construction projects. Areas of focus will include subcontract scope reviews, project submittals, RFI coordination, contract support, change orders, scheduling, construction progress tracking, and capabilities with e-construction systems (Procore/Autodesk).
Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager, Site Superintendent, and other senior construction staff with coordination and communication requirements for project administration.
Maintain project schedule as assigned by the Project Manager through managing submittal approvals, RFIs, and coordinating the timely delivery of materials (procurement).
Manage submittal log and coordinate submittals and coordination drawings with subcontractors and the Superintendent.
Manage and direct subcontractors’ compliance with the Contract Documents as delegated by the Project Manager.
Assist with scopes of work, bid package development, and help solicit subcontractors and suppliers.
Distribute proposal change documents to subcontractors/suppliers and assist in collecting pricing and preparing change proposal requests for internal pricing review.
Be responsible for compiling and submitting owner-required close-out documents and assist subcontractors/suppliers in scheduling owner-required training and documentation.
Manage all meeting minutes, agenda distribution and logs within Procore management systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic knowledge of the construction industry and construction principles/practices.
Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and scope of services.
Basic knowledge of construction drawings, contract documents, construction sequencing.
Basic skills using Bluebeam, Procore and/or Autodesk systems.
Microsoft Project experience is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment while reporting to office daily.
Ability to travel as necessary for specific assignment work.
Required Education & Experience Minimum 1 previous project experience of multifamily or mixed‑use type project.
Minimum 3 years construction admin experience in an administrative role working for a general contractor; working on multifamily is a plus.
Experience with Procore/Autodesk or similar project controls systems.
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management is a plus.
Previous field experience or working on site‑specific new building is a plus.
Estimated full Compensation Package Range:
$95,000 - $110,000/year*
