Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, network transmission and origination, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney’s EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.
Job Summary The Early Access Media Operations team is responsible for managing all Disney General Entertainment (DGE) asset and screening requests. The team facilitates requests and manages delivery of media for our internal partners for their respective lines of business; including (but not limited to): Publicity, Ratings, Awards, Copyright, Events, and Marketing. This includes fulfillment of screeners and assets for internal and external outlets and events alike. This also includes a strong working relationship with varying product teams, content security, studio technology, and media servicing.
Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a proactive, strategic Media Delivery Specialist who will be part of the Early Access Media Operations team in Glendale, CA; reporting to the Manager, Media Delivery Operations. The candidate will be responsible for project management for our digital and physical screenings globally; tracking media assets (audio, video, and localized components) and providing regular status updates to partners for availability and aggregating access to screeners for varying functions (executive reviews, programming, and Disney+ ratings assessment). They will also provide project oversight and work within various internal tools and tracking systems. This role requires strong collaboration with multiple teams across the company and strategic thinking to anticipate issues and set up scalable workflows. The candidate will be hands‑on with any digital delivery issues, helping to troubleshoot potential blockers, and must be detail‑oriented in tracking assets through approval in QC. They will create process documentation and identify workflow efficiencies.
Responsibilities and Duties
Communication and collaboration with internal and external partners.
Problem assessment and problem solving to ensure timely delivery.
Administrative duties related to media delivery and asset management.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
3 years’ experience in Project or Product Management in Digital Distribution or related experience; ideally for a studio or a vendor.
Highly communicative.
General understanding of file‑based workflows for home entertainment.
Familiarity with screening platforms (e.g., PIX, Vimeo).
Knowledge of media codecs and specifications.
Ability to manage a high volume of projects with varying components and status at a high level.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with linear editing systems and software, e.g., Adobe (Premiere, Photoshop, Audition), ColorFront Transkoder, Clipster, subtitling software.
Strong understanding of localization strategy and practices.
Background in post‑production, asset management, and delivery or technical operations.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Compensation The hiring range for this position in California is $66,800 to $89,500 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
