About the Role The Inventory Manager is responsible for the complete oversight of all inventory control processes within the Grön manufacturing facility. This includes maintaining accuracy in all inventory tracking systems by receiving incoming materials, conducting regular cycle counts, overseeing the order coordination team, and managing finished goods inventory. The role also ensures compliance with the state‑specific seed‑to‑sale tracking system. This position is in person, Monday through Friday at our Long Island facility.

In this role you will

Inventory Tracking Systems:

Oversee maintenance, data integrity, and accuracy of all inventory tracking systems in compliance with cGMP standards, including system integration, documentation practices, data traceability, user access control, training, and troubleshooting to maintain compliance and audit readiness.

Receiving:

Receive and document all incoming raw materials and packaging components in accordance with cGMP requirements, verify quantities, quality, and supplier documentation against purchase orders, and ensure proper labeling, quarantining, and release following QA approval.

Cycle Counting:

Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, document counts accurately, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain audit‑ready records.

End‑of‑Month Processing:

Lead the end‑of‑month physical inventory and reconciliation process, verify counts, investigate variances, and ensure accurate reporting to management.

Team Management:

Supervise the Order Coordinator team, provide ongoing training, performance feedback, and oversight to maintain operational accuracy and compliance culture.

Finished Goods Management:

Perform daily end‑of‑day cycle counts of finished goods inventory, verify labeling, lot traceability, and storage conditions meet cGMP and regulatory requirements.

Order Coordination Support:

Support Order Coordinator duties as needed, ensuring timely and compliant order fulfillment with proper documentation.

Variance Investigation:

Investigate and document inventory variances identified during cycle counts or reconciliations, perform root cause analysis, implement CAPAs, and maintain proper recordkeeping.

Distribution Support:

Provide backup support to the Distribution Manager by creating pick sheets, manifests, and shipping documentation, ensuring outbound materials comply with traceability requirements.

Seed‑to‑Sale Compliance:

Maintain full compliance with state and local seed‑to‑sale regulations, overseeing all tracking activities to ensure complete traceability of cannabis materials from seed to finished product.

You’ll be a great fit if you have the following

At least 2 years of experience in a highly regulated production or manufacturing environment, with strong knowledge of state and federal compliance requirements (e.g., cannabis industry).

At least 2 years of experience working in a cGMP facility.

At least 2 years of people‑management experience, with demonstrated ability to train and develop team members in adherence to cGMP standards.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces for inventory verification and material management tasks.

Extensive experience managing high‑volume inventory operations requiring precision, traceability, and process discipline.

Strong knowledge of inventory control processes, documentation procedures, and compliance requirements (preferably within a cGMP or cannabis manufacturing setting).

Proficiency with inventory management systems such as Excel, Wherefour, or equivalent ERP systems, with emphasis on data accuracy and audit readiness.

Highly adaptable in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and able to prioritize effectively.
