Hybrid - Manager of Civil Engineering Washington, DC

Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Managing a team of civil engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their professional development.

Collaborating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.

Utilizing expertise in Roadway, Civil 3D, 2D AutoCAD to design and plan infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and public spaces.

Ensuring all projects adhere to relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

Preparing and presenting project reports, proposals, technical drawings, and design specifications to clients and stakeholders.

Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification will be highly advantageous.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects such as roadways and public spaces.

Proven experience in managing and leading a team of engineers and technicians.

Extensive knowledge and experience in using Civil 3D, 2D AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.

Strong understanding of construction processes, civil engineering principles, and project management best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively.

A valid driver's license, as the role may involve travel to project sites.
