The Senior Financial Analyst will support the development team across all phases of the real estate lifecycle: from site acquisition and underwriting through design, construction, and delivery. This role combines financial analysis, market research, and project coordination to help drive informed investment and development decisions across the company’s portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain detailed Excel-based financial models and development pro formas
Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate project returns
Assist in preparing investment memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Conduct market, demographic, and competitive research to assess potential sites
Analyze zoning, land use, and entitlement risks
Review and summarize third‑party reports (e.g., appraisals, environmental, and geotechnical studies)
Project Support & Coordination
Support entitlement and permitting processes by coordinating with legal, design, and municipal teams
Track project timelines, budgets, and milestones; assist with cost control and performance reporting
Partner with construction and design teams to ensure quality and alignment with project goals
Acquisition Support
Identify and evaluate potential land acquisition opportunities
Prepare financial and market analyses to inform negotiations and underwriting
Reporting & Communication
Prepare internal reports, updates, and presentations for development leadership
Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure effective communication and project alignment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field
1–3+ years of experience in finance, real estate development, investment, or management consulting
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including financial modeling)
PowerPoint and general Microsoft Office proficiency required
Familiarity with real estate analytics tools (e.g., CoStar, RealPage, or GIS) preferred
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong financial acumen
