Telecommunications Network Engineer - First Shift – Requires Active Top Secret Security Clearance

CompTech is seeking a Telecommunications Network Engineer in support of our customer the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The DLA is an agency of the Department of Defense and the DLA Information Operations, Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS), Network & Telecommunications Services (NTS), Local Area Network Branch (NTS‑LAN), located enterprise‑wide at multiple DLA locations. We support wired and wireless LAN functions by providing skills and expertise in telecom engineering and operational support of current and new technologies to the Local Area Network (LAN).
Job Responsibilities
The engineer manages and ensures the technical integrity of the system baseline over time, continually updating it as various changes are imposed on the system during its lifecycle from development through deployment, operations, and maintenance.
Provides telecommunications engineering and operational support for wired and wireless LAN functions.
Engages in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and network management systems to support voice and data services.
Develops, engineers, interfaces, integrates, and tests complex hardware/software systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of network operations experience. Higher level education or military service can be used in lieu of two years of network operations experience.
Experience in telecommunications network design and management.
Experience in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services.
Experience in performing and providing for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems.
Certification Requirements
IA Level: IAT-II One of: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH.
And one of: CCSE NGX, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, SCNA, CCSE NGX Plus NG with AI, CCMSE NG with AI, CSMSE NG with AI Plus VSX, NSA, ESE.
Security Clearance Requirement
