Cloud DevSecOps Engineer IV
Charlotte, Atlanta, Birmingham – 7‑month contract. Pay Range $85.00–$90.00/hr.
Our client needs a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer (Level 4) to join our delivery team on a seven‑month contract. The role will help design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting a sophisticated backend platform in AWS. The position is primarily remote, with occasional in‑person collaboration for candidates based in Charlotte (preferred), Atlanta, or Birmingham.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Collaborate with a high‑performing delivery team to model and document build/deployment processes.
Manage automated build, package, and deployment workflows.
Diagnose and proactively resolve issues by analyzing telemetry, dashboards, and observability platforms.
Promote a culture of ownership – “if we put it in production, we own it” – including participating in on‑call support rotations.
Foster strong collaboration across development, testing, and operations teams.
Enable the organization to move to the cloud using complete automation.
Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Required Skills
High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of related post‑secondary education and/or experience in Information Security or Information Technology.
Six (6) years of relevant DevSecOps experience.
AWS DevOps certification or Azure DevOps certification.
Primary cloud provider: AWS (no Azure, no GCP).
Terraform (infrastructure as code).
GitHub – including GitHub Actions.
Artifactory – build and package repository.
Harness (preferred for continuous delivery, but not required).
Additional familiarity with observability and monitoring tools is a strong plus.
Experience balancing both enterprise‑scale environments (where control and governance are key) and smaller, fast‑moving teams (where urgency and agility drive delivery).
Bonus Skills
No banking experience required – helpful only for context around regulated, slower‑moving environments.
