We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and visionary leader to serve as the Head of School at our high-quality early childhood education center in Central New Jersey. This is an exciting opportunity to lead an exceptional team, strengthen family partnerships, and ensure operational excellence in a nurturing, innovative, and community-driven environment.
What You’ll Do As the Head of School, you’ll oversee all aspects of school operations — from ensuring compliance with New Jersey state licensing regulations to driving enrollment growth and cultivating a culture of excellence in early learning.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Administration:
Direct all school operations while maintaining compliance with NJ state licensing requirements and company policies.
Staff Development:
Recruit, train, and mentor teachers and staff, fostering a collaborative and positive culture of continuous improvement.
Curriculum & Quality Assurance:
Support implementation of a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum and ensure excellence in classroom instruction.
Family & Community Engagement:
Build strong relationships with families through open communication, transparency, and trust; confidently conduct tours of the center and represent the school to prospective families and community partners.
Financial & Operational Management:
Manage budgets, oversee enrollment, track key metrics, and use data to make informed decisions.
Technology & Systems Management:
Leverage digital tools and platforms to streamline communication, enhance administrative efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making.
Health & Safety:
Ensure the school maintains the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in early childhood education or school administration
Strong knowledge of New Jersey childcare licensing standards and compliance requirements
Confident and engaging communicator with the ability to conduct family tours, lead meetings, and represent the school professionally
Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital platforms, including childcare management systems, communication apps, and productivity tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
A team-oriented mindset and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment for children and staff
