Your Role The Raw Material Specialist manages a full category from Concept to Production readiness. Partnering cross-functionally to develop, communicate, and deliver on time product that meets the design and brand aesthetic. He/she/they work closely within a cross-functional team that includes Design, Production, Merchandising, Tech Design, Color & Print and Regulatory, as well as Asia-based offices and vendors.

Your Impact

Partner with Concept and Design Teams to source fabrics/trims from internal fabric libraries and from global approved suppliers & vendors to meet required design aesthetics, price points and performance.

Leverage technical knowledge and leadership support to troubleshoot and resolve issues that are unique in nature and may require a novel approach.

Identify and resolve potential manufacturing, costing issues prior to development, ensuring quality execution at bulk.

Partner closely with design and tech design, understanding fit intent and required aesthetics of a garment.

Demonstrate a forward-thinking mindset by contributing ideas that support fabric, sustainability goals and product innovation

Maintain an understanding of how certain raw materials perform when in garment form and offer input and recommendations based on vendor innovation, quality improvements, and competition

Risk assessment of garments for raw material compatibility, garment care, fit for purpose and regulatory compliance

Manage, track fabric and raw material information in Centric to insure on-time garment deliveries.

Continuously update/maintain raw material details in Centric for reporting purposes.

Be prepared to speak to raw material details in meetings.

Provide technical training and support on issues of fabric & trim development and performance to the cross-functional teams.
