GCYber is seeking an
Information System Security Officer , to support a government customer. The ISSO will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enforcing information system security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational systems and data.
As the Information System Security Officer, you will:
Serve as the primary security point of contact and ensure assigned systems maintain compliance with applicable cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST RMF, FedRAMP, DoD 8500).
Develop, maintain, and update security documentation including SSPs, POA&Ms, SARs, and continuous monitoring artifacts.
Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and track remediation to maintain a secure system posture.
Support system authorization and accreditation activities, including ATO package preparation and ongoing compliance.
Collaborate with technical teams to implement and monitor security controls, respond to incidents, and promote cybersecurity awareness across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Active DoD Secret clearance
DoD 8570 IAT II Certification (e.g. Security+, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
3-7 years of relevant experience
