Country Manager ViiV Switzerland ViiV Business Introduction We are a specialist pharmaceutical company 100% dedicated to developing medicines to treat and prevent HIV. The Position: The Country Manager will be responsible for independently leading ViiV in Switzerland to further accelerate growth. This should be achieved through building on the success of the currently marketed portfolio and successfully launching ViiV unparalleled pipeline of novel HIV therapies.

The Country Manager ViiV Switzerland will be a member of the Leadership Team. As the leader of a nimble, agile and entrepreneurial business, the aim is to continuously strive towards excellence in ViiV interactions and partnerships with Healthcare Professionals, Patients and other key stakeholders influencing the provision of care of HIV in Switzerland.

Your responsibilities

Will be a strong, independent and credible leader of all elements of the ViiV Business in Switzerland, with full P&L responsibility based on:

Maximising uptake of innovation brands and accelerating the HIV market transformation towards long-acting therapies

Optimising portfolio value of growth brands through appropriate allocation of resources

Optimising lifecycle value of the mature HIV portfolio

Optimally prepare and deliver launches of ViiV portfolio. Develop and implement ViiV strategy and tactics in alignment with all applicable external and internal regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines

Adopt and adapt ViiV EU strategy as appropriate to ensure EU alignment and local optimisation

Assume external leadership role representing ViiV in Switzerland by developing relationships with key external stakeholders including government, payers, External Experts and Patient Advocacy Groups

Inspire, coach, mentor and motivate the local ViiV Team, ensuring a strong cross-functional collaboration and supporting their personal development and the development of the team as a whole

Manage relationship with GSK as ViiV main shareholder and service provider

Why You! We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

Basic Qualifications

Masters’ degree in Commercial, Economics, Business Administration or Scientific studies

Excellent professional experience, which includes an equivalent role as Commercial, Sales & Marketing or Business Unit Lead in Pharma

You demonstrate hands‑on leadership capabilities

You are able to influence a variety of stakeholders

You are a strong team leader who drives performance and develops people

Track record in managing complexity

Proven experience in driven cross-functional work

Good language skills: proficiency in English and German

Preferred Qualifications

Governmental Affairs or Market Access experience, with a strong business mindset

Experience in External Affairs – you understand compliance and ethics codes of the pharma industry

Knowledge of the HIV therapeutic area.

Fluency in additional languages relevant to Switzerland.

This is an on‑site role based in Switzerland, with limited travel requirements. Hybrid working applies to this role, with ViiV expectation of 3 days per week onsite.
