Responsibilities
Large-Scale Project Leadership: Lead and/or partner on large-scale, complex projects requiring a technical build, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Technology, Fraud Policy, Risk, Operations, and Product. Write business requirements that define the technical needs associated with projects, review Technical designs, User Stories, Test Scripts for accuracy and completeness.
Campaign Management & Execution: Partner with internal teams to ensure flawless design and execution of existing customer marketing campaigns, meeting business goals and driving credit card growth and customer engagement.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement test strategies, critically analyze potential issues, assess impacts, and recommend additional testing to maintain channel integrity.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze data to make informed decisions and recommendations related to marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Problem Solving & Issue Resolution: Proactively identify, manage, and resolve issues, mitigating risks and ensuring successful project completion.
Risk Management & Compliance: Demonstrate sound judgment and adhere to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, prioritizing the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets. Escalate and report control issues with transparency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (including Lending, Marketing, Operations, and Risk) to execute credit card lending projects and initiatives from inception to implementation, providing subject matter expertise and support.
Process Improvement & Automation: Proactively identify, promote, and implement opportunities for enhancements and automation related to promotional offers and campaigns, supporting control automation initiatives.
Risk Assessment: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Essential Qualifications
To excel in this position, you must possess substantial expertise, comprehensive knowledge, and a deep understanding of the complete promotional offer lifecycle. This encompasses the systems involved in creating offers, those that display offers to customers or agents, and the systems responsible for fulfilling promotional offers. Understanding the code that supports the offer lifecycle including offer creation, display and fulfillment is a must.
6-10 years of experience in Marketing, Operations and/or Technology, specifically within the Credit Card, Retail banking or financial services industry.
Proven ability to manage multiple large scale complex projects simultaneously, demonstrating advanced project management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to think creatively and take ownership of solutions.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and consistently meet tight deadlines.
Education
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred.
Desired Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of technical systems supporting credit card offers, including acquisition/existing customer marketing platforms (e.g., ITSS) and campaign execution processes.
Significant experience working on strategic initiatives and technical implementation projects related to credit card lending and sales growth, particularly within acquisition and existing customer marketing.
Proven ability to define project scope and write comprehensive business requirements for technology projects.
Strong understanding of backend systems supporting customer response channels, including digital platforms, customer service, and sales/retention teams.
Ability to effectively communicate and bridge the gap between marketing and technology teams, articulating both aspects of projects and campaign processes.
Demonstrated ability to navigate and manage high-stress situations in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with credit cards and/or retail banking/financial services is highly preferred.
Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Salary Range: $114,720.00 - $172,080.00
