Our Team Our Growth Office is responsible for ensuring enhanced cross-selling, great government relations, impactful strategic partnerships and a world class win work function. We also support the key enablers of the strategic growth plan such as private finance and investigate and incubate new fields of play to help generate new revenue.

We want to hear from you We are seeking an experienced Capture Director, to join our Growth Office and help capture some of the world's most exciting and prestigious strategic opportunities. They will be responsible for creating leading capability in the development and execution of effective capture strategies and value propositions that will position AtkinsRéalis as the supplier of choice on our strategic pursuits. They will build and manage a small team of Capture Managers and Facilitators, within our Win Work Excellence Group, and allocate these resources across our strategic pursuit portfolio. They will act as a champion for effective and timely capture activities and support the upskilling of business unit win work teams and technical practices.

Your Role

Identify, engage, and recruit exemplar Capture Managers and Facilitators that will enhance our competitive position on strategic pursuits ahead of formal procurements.

Oversee the operational management, pastoral care, and career development of Capture Managers.

Maintain presence within the external proposals industry and develop relationships with strategic suppliers to source innovations and best practice in capture management.

Engage and develop relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including Market Directors, Key Account Managers, and Capability Leads to inform workforce planning, assess our clients’ needs and challenges, and understand the breadth of AtkinsRéalis capabilities and solutions.

Collaborate with our Market Directors to critically the review pipeline of strategic pursuits and support effective Go/No-Go decisions to prioritise investment in opportunities that will deliver growth.

Develop and maintain an understanding of AtkinsRéalis competitors’ capabilities, value propositions, and key people in our core markets to support effective competitor analyses.

Analyse client needs and competitor capabilities and align AtkinsRéalis solutions to develop differentiated, compelling value propositions, and support the development of associated marketing campaigns.

Work closely with Proposal Lead to support seamless handover of our value proposition so that this can be articulated in our written proposals.

For pursuits of utmost strategic importance and during peaks in workload act as Capture Manager, leading the development and execution of capture strategies and value propositions.

Identify and implement actions to continuously improve our capture management capabilities.

Work with our Learning & Talent Development team to create training and guidance materials that will enhance our capture management capabilities.

About you The ideal candidate will bring a track record of success in capture strategy and execution for major pursuits, team building and management, and collaborating with stakeholders in large corporate environments. Skills and experience should include:

A degree or equivalent qualification (relevant technical certifications in business development activity would be desirable).

Proven experience in the development and execution of winning capture strategies on major pursuits in the engineering, construction, or professional services sectors.

An understanding of engineering projects and terminology, with the ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable proposal content.

Ability to see the "big picture" and develop a coherent, long-term strategy for winning business in competitive markets.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously under pressure and with tight deadlines.

Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. The ability to craft a clear, compelling, and persuasive narrative.

A collaborative and motivating leadership style with the ability to build strong working relationships across diverse teams.

Well-developed emotional intelligence with the ability to flex your style to suit different stakeholders and support othersto do the same as part of wider development activity.
