Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Specialist to join the Original Casting Lighting Team in St. Louis, MO. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support efficient operations. This role involves tracking inventory movement, conducting regular audits, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring all materials and products are properly received, stored, and recorded. What Will You Do? Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records in the companys inventory management system. Conduct regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure data accuracy. Track inventory levels and reorder stock as necessary to prevent shortages or overstock. Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of materials and products. Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to ensure inventory accuracy. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or report errors. Generate inventory reports and present findings to management. Assist with process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associates Degree related field a plus. 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to lift, move, or count materials as needed.
Preferred Skills
Experience with barcode or RFID tracking systems. Knowledge of lean inventory practices and supply chain optimization. Certification in inventory management (e.g., APICS, CPIM, or similar) is a plus.
