Our client is at the forefront of technological innovation and seeks an exceptional Principal Research Scientist to lead groundbreaking research in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This is a fully remote, strategic role where you will be instrumental in defining research agendas, developing novel algorithms, and driving the advancement of AI technologies. You will collaborate virtually with a world‑class team of scientists and engineers, publishing research findings, and translating cutting‑edge discoveries into practical applications. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field, with a distinguished publication record and extensive experience in developing and deploying complex AI/ML models. This role demands deep theoretical knowledge, strong practical implementation skills, and the ability to inspire and mentor junior researchers.

Responsibilities: Lead and conduct advanced research in key areas of AI and Machine Learning, including deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or reinforcement learning. Define research objectives, develop novel algorithms, and design experiments to validate hypotheses. Publish research findings in top‑tier scientific journals and conferences. Develop and prototype AI/ML models, demonstrating their effectiveness and scalability. Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate research outcomes into product roadmaps and production systems. Mentor and guide junior researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and scientific rigor. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML and identify new research opportunities. Present research findings to internal stakeholders and external audiences. Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio of the organization. Ensure ethical considerations and responsible AI practices are integrated into research.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a closely related field. Minimum of 10 years of post‑Ph.D. research experience in AI/ML, with a strong publication record in leading venues. Demonstrated expertise in one or more subfields of AI/ML (e.g., deep learning, NLP, computer vision, reinforcement learning). Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Strong mathematical and statistical background. Proven ability to lead research projects from conception to completion. Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. Experience mentoring junior researchers. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast‑paced research environment.
