Position Summary The AVP, Quantitative Developer supports Fortitude Re’s Market-Linked Product Analytics function by developing, maintaining, and enhancing quantitative models and tools that connect capital markets and insurance liabilities. This role is responsible for derivatives valuation, scenario testing, and balance‑sheet analytics that support Fortitude Re’s variable annuity, fixed indexed annuity, and other market‑sensitive products. Reporting to the SVP, Market-Linked Product Analytics, the AVP plays a hands‑on role in building and validating quantitative infrastructure, ensuring that Fortitude Re’s hedging, risk management, and transaction analysis are supported by accurate and effective models.

What You Will Do Design, implement, and maintain derivatives valuation and risk analytics models supporting market‑linked products and balance‑sheet exposures. Develop tools for stress testing, scenario analysis, and hedge effectiveness measurement across Fortitude Re’s liabilities and reinsurance transactions. Support the evaluation of new reinsurance opportunities and transactions through quantitative modeling of capital markets‑sensitive exposures. Perform derivatives pricing and valuation analysis, including calibration, back‑testing, and sensitivity analysis. Collaborate with Actuarial, Risk, Finance, and Investments to ensure alignment of models with Fortitude Re’s ALM and capital management frameworks. Partner with IT and external vendors to onboard and integrate third‑party models and ensure data integrity. Enhance reporting and automation capabilities to improve efficiency and transparency of analytics delivered to senior management. Prepare presentations and materials summarizing quantitative analysis for use by the SVP and other senior leaders.

What You Will Have 8+ years of experience in quantitative analytics, derivatives modeling, or capital markets roles within insurance, reinsurance, or financial institutions. Advanced degree strongly preferred in a quantitative discipline such as finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or physics. Proven experience with derivatives valuation, stochastic modeling, and scenario analysis. Strong programming and technical skills, particularly in Python, SQL, or MATLAB; proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools a plus. Knowledge of capital frameworks and accounting standards (US GAAP, statutory, Bermuda/EBS) as they relate to market‑linked products. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate quantitative insights into actionable recommendations. Ability to work independently while collaborating across functions in a fast‑paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting quantitative findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Base Salary Range: $175,000 — $245,000 USD. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
