Perform testing of electrical, electro‑optical, and photonic parts or assemblies; testing may include environmental (thermal, thermal vacuum, temperature cycling) as well as mechanical (vibration, shock).
Analyze electrical and electro‑optical characterization data for photonics components and subsystems, to verify testing followed project requirements and testing was performed accurately and as expected.
Maintain documentation (Standard Operating Procedures, LabVIEW code, test regimens/procedures, wiring diagrams, equipment modifications, etc.) in a current status on the Photonics approved shared drive location.
What You'll Need: BS degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Ten (10)+ years, documented experience with electronic, electro‑optical, fiber‑optic testing and test setup and operation. Experience will include thermal, thermal vacuum, temperature cycling, vibration, and shock as a minimum.
Demonstrated programming skills in LabVIEW, writing new code, editing and compiling existing code, for automation of test regimens and data capture/storage.
Demonstrated knowledge or accreditation to ANSI/NSCL Z540.3 and ISO/IEC 17025 calibration requirements.
Demonstrated experience in maintaining calibration standards and performing calibration of electrical, electronic laboratory devices.
Certification to Electrostatic Discharge (NASA preferred) and proper storage and handling of ESD sensitive devices; ESD Program Manager certification is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
