Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with hands-on experience working on diesel engines, heavy equipment, and trucks. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel and gas-powered vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including inspections, adjustments, and parts replacements. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues for timely and effective repairs. Diagnose and resolve electrical and wiring issues with precision. Conduct maintenance and repairs on air brake systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Repair and maintain trucks and equipment, including but not limited to Mack, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Peterbilt, and Volvo models. Safely perform heavy lifting and manual tasks required in the repair process while following all safety protocols. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment to support safety and operational efficiency. Accurately log mechanical data and maintenance records into HCSS for tracking and compliance purposes. Apply strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail across all assigned tasks. Remain flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities, ongoing projects, and operational changes to support team productivity.
