Position This tenure‑track Assistant Professor will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in strength and conditioning, produce scholarship and serve the department and university. Responsibilities include: teaching the general area of expertise, developing scholarship, supervising students’ culminating experiences, serving on committees, and participating in the broader university community. Required Qualifications Earned doctorate with emphasis in strength and conditioning by the time of appointment. ABDs are welcome if they can show that the degree will complete by appointment. Demonstrated ability to provide high‑quality undergraduate and graduate education to a diverse student population. Record of high‑quality scholarship appropriate to the level of appointment. Commitment to equity and inclusion in teaching, scholarship, and/or service. Collaborative work with colleagues and/or community partners. Preferred Qualifications Research focus in strength and conditioning related to sport performance, healthy aging, special populations, or sport science. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or equivalent certification. Potential for developing external funding commensurate with career stage.
