Senior Electrical Design Engineer Hardware – Analog and Digital Circuit Design Industrial / Medical / Consumer Electronics Located near Columbia, South Carolina. Pay Range & Compensation Base Pay: $135,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year. Additional compensation: Annual Bonus. This range is provided by FPC (FORTUNE PERSONNEL CONSULTANTS – Orlando Office). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience – talk with your recruiter to learn more. Job Function & Responsibilities Manage and lead a team of 5+ Engineers. Develop and manage the overall circuit design, schematics, component selection, and PCB layout at the board level to support embedded controllers, power, USB, analog and digital devices, and communication protocols. Launch prototype hardware through successive production phases. Design boards focused on architecture, performance, efficiency, and reliability. Collaborate with software engineers to debug and ensure hardware functionality meets product specifications. Conduct design reviews with peers and managers on hardware architecture, planning, testing, and validation. Qualifications 5 to 20 years of experience in electrical/electronics hardware development. BSEE or MSEE degree. Expertise in PC board layout and routing, especially for mobile devices (Power Management, Battery, Bluetooth, USB, digital & analog circuits). Strong experience in testing, validation, and debugging of hardware. Knowledge of FPGAs is a plus. Managing other engineer’s work is a plus but not required. Ability to work with software engineers on microcontroller firmware (RTOS and embedded C). Hands‑on engineering ability and exceptional problem‑solving skills. Experience documenting engineering analysis and design decisions. Proven ability with board bring‑up and troubleshooting. Understanding of EMC, UL, CE, FCC standards is beneficial.
