SUMMARY:
Responsible for leading a team that must respond to all facilities service calls. Along with the team the Supervisor must perform preventative maintenance, paint, and fix necessary repairs to the hotel and restaurant equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned by the General Manager.
General Maintenance: 60% Perform all duties and responsibilities of a maintenance technician. Ensure that after hours access into secured hotel areas are properly authorized, monitored, and documented Handle deliveries received during non-business hours Work with outside agencies (i.e.., police) and contractors Coordinate emergency situations Check surveillance when requested to assist with investigations Ensure all required repairs and maintenance is performed using proper equipment Perform preventative maintenance on hotel equipment, fixtures, and other assets Perform daily walk through of the property Assist guests in the event of an emergency Provide standard security 24 hours per day Guest Services: 30%
Review hotel status and follow up actions with the previous shift employee Ensure all non-hotel personnel arriving at employee entrance are properly escorted while on property Provide escorts for guests or employees, if requested Investigate all emergencies Patrol the property with specified equipment, checking all designated points and document all actions taken Resolve safety hazard situations Ensure all guest room doors are secured; assist guests with room access Investigate suspicious persons on hotel property Conduct designated investigations into theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, food poisoning complaints and other guest complaints; complete documents reports Respond to the scene of guest/employee accident promptly; administers first aid/CPR; AED (only if certified); communicate specified information to EMS/medical personnel as required Administrative Tasks: 10%
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/standard operating procedures/standards Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended Review shift reports and be familiar with pertinent information relevant to the daily shift Contact the Maintenance Manager immediately for emergency situations Maintain confidentiality of all security and hotel reports/documents; release information only to authorized individuals
