The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with AS9100, AS9120, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements. This role ensures the effectiveness of the QMS and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
Job Responsibilities: • Quality Management Systems (QMS):
Develop, implement, and maintain QMS in accordance with AS9100, AS9120, ISO 9001, and customer specific requirements. Ensure all required processes for the QMS are established, implemented, and maintained. • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Define and track key quality metrics across customer, supplier, and internal operations. Analyze quality data and generate reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Report QMS performance and improvement needs to senior leadership. • Audit & Compliance:
Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits including AS9120 surveillance, customer, and supplier audits. Develop and execute internal audit plans and ensure timely resolution of findings. Maintain documentation and records to support compliance with applicable standards. • Corrective Actions:
Manage non-conformance reporting (NCR), root cause analysis, and corrective action processes. Ensure timely and effective resolution of quality issues. • Process Improvement & Training:
Collaborate with Operations to develop quality improvement plans aligned with the annual operating plan. Facilitate cross-functional process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing quality. Provide training on quality and process improvement methodologies to staff as needed. • Customer Focus & Communication:
Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization. Serve as a key point of contact for quality-related inquiries and issues. • Other Duties:
Complete special projects and assignments as directed. Ensure all activities comply with AS/ISO procedures, regulatory standards, and company policies. Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS), preferably in the aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of QMS development, implementation, and maintenance in compliance with AS/ISO standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interface with customers, suppliers, and auditors professionally.
