Surgical Tech - CVOR
Location:
Plano, TX 75093
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Compensation: Up to $2,200/week for local candidates (within 50 miles) Up to $2,520/week for travelers (outside 50 miles) Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain a sterile field for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures. Assist surgeons by anticipating needs and passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgery. Set up and operate specialized CVOR instruments and equipment, including grafts, cannulas, and bypass devices. Maintain accurate counts and adhere to strict aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent infection. Required Skills & Experience Experience working in facilities with
20 operating rooms . Exposure to
Level II Trauma
environments. Competence with
inpatient and outpatient
surgical cases. Manage
25-40 cases per day
effectively. Must have at least
1 year of Cardiovascular (CV) OR experience . CNOR certification
preferred. Education & Licensure High School Diploma or GED required. Certified Surgical Technologist ( CST ) credential. Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification through the
American Heart Association (AHA) .
