POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resource Coordinator (HRC) facilitates the human resource administrative processes, recruitment efforts, employee relations programs and administers payroll. The HRC handles the transactional administration associated with onboarding, exiting, benefits and employee relations. This role provides administrative support to human resources function as needed including record keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers payroll processing and all the associated tasks such as record keeping, working with supervisors on time clock entries, allocation of vacation, sick time, etc. Administers health and welfare plans including eligibility, enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents for payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions. Coordinates leave of absence administration including, personal leave, FMLA, workers compensation, and military leave. Coordinates development and periodic review of job descriptions throughout the organization working in collaboration with department heads to ensure that they are accurate and up to date. Assists with recruitment efforts to include college job fairs for part time staff across the operation. Tracks status of candidates and responds with follow up letters at the end of the recruiting process. Supports with a structured internship program working with industry specific higher education programs and restaurant management. Support with robust new employee orientation and departmental training programs to ensure clear understanding of policies, job functions, goals and company philosophy. Assist staff in complexities of their online capabilities, such as onboarding platforms, health insurance forms and other various matters. Coordinate training activities both internally and externally for staff and management. Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Advocate for staff improvements with the ultimate goal of Jean-Georges Management becoming an employer of choice. Verifies I-9 documentation and maintain records for reverification. Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs. Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions. Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files. Prepares new employee files. Any other duties as requested by management KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in human resources, hospitality management or related field, and/or equivalent experience. Minimum of 2 years' experience Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook Experience with ADP software, ADT and HRIS programs Excellent speaking and listening skills Strong decision-making skills Detail-oriented Excellent interpersonal skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the location. Frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to talk or hear. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
COMPENSATION
The base pay range for this position is $65,000.00-$68,000.00 a year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
