Volt is immediately hiring for a R&D Technician at Henrico, Virginia 23231.

As an R&D Technician, you'll support innovation and customer projects. Reporting to the Lab Manager, you'll perform both qualitative and quantitative testing. Initial training will be under direct supervision. Safety is a top priority. You're expected to follow safe work practices and report any concerns to management. Key Responsibilities

Conduct qualitative and quantitative lab tests Learn and apply new testing methods to support materials science innovation Use spreadsheets to compile and analyze data Share findings with project requesters Collaborate with team members on larger projects Safely operate and calibrate lab equipment under supervision Qualifications

High School diploma required; Associate degree or technical training preferred 0-2+ years of experience in lab testing or manufacturing Experience in paper and packaging industry is a plus Familiarity with papermaking and paperboard products preferred Strong initiative and ability to work independently Excellent teamwork and communication skills High degree of mechanical aptitude and technical curiosity Comfortable working in lab, pilot plant, and production settings

Schedule: Day Shift time: -

8am-4pm or 7am - 3pm

Pay Range:

$ 20/hr. - $22/hr .
