Job Summary
The position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing professional development and instructional programs that support the education of migrant students (PK-12) across Region V, with an emphasis on elementary education. The role includes providing technical assistance to districts, ensuring compliance with Migrant Education policies, and supporting various regional programs such as Saturday Academies and Summer School.
Key duties include coordinating parent and student leadership activities, overseeing Identification and Recruitment efforts, managing budgets and resources, and supervising program staff. The position also involves representing the Kern County Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS) and Migrant Education Region V in professional meetings, writing and reviewing District Service Agreements and the Regional Application, and assisting local educational agencies with state and federal program requirements.
