TITLE: Planner/ Cost Analyst/ Scheduler

REPORTS TO: Planning/ Scheduling Manager

PAY RANGE: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 Annualy DOE

SUMMARY

Responsible for the creation of project planning, scheduling and document coordination used for monitoring and reporting work force productivity and progress for all assigned projects. The Planner / Scheduler is responsible for reporting project progress and performance status to assist in the direct management and business operations of the Company. Works closely with the Project Team and Business Unit Leader (BUL) for the development of the project plan, budgets and performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor project budgets and job costing for all prime contractors and subcontractors, and prepare associated reports Analyze, create and submit weekly Project Status Reports and line item budget updates for project reviews Meet with Superintendents on a bi-weekly basis to update progress and ETC runouts Analyze Equipment matrix to ensure runouts are accurate Interpret financial impact and contract value via financial log submittals from production Assist in manning curve analysis based on fields input of work plan Create and maintain various request-specific one-off reports depending on work that is deemed high priority at the time Ability to quickly and accurately perform variance-to-plan root cause analysis based on information provided from reports Create job overviews based on work package and bid information Create Schedules with production and Project Managers Create budget builders/initial manning curve based on schedule Create weighted progress template with production input Research job-specific charging issues to assist upper management with analysis of potential problems Input information into scheduling software, excel spreadsheets and appropriate computer programs Gather and copy technical and reference material to support production for accomplishment of work items Assist Project Team in resolving conflicts by collecting and analyzing information, determining differences between base line contract work, change order work and growth work Schedule, monitor and review production progress to include materials and equipment to support production schedules Aid in preparing daily/weekly-planning/scheduling reports for all activities including but limited to daily plan of the days, items in planning, items in government review, items in negotiations, and items waiting authorization SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

No formal supervisor responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of resource loading, critical path method, network logic, milestone relationships and base-lining network schedules Basic understanding and knowledge of legal contracts Proficient with MicroSoft Office Suite of products and software applications such as Earned Value Management System (EMVS) Ability to do simple math Ability to carry out written and verbal instructions Ability to problem solve, organize and prioritize work EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required Minimum five (5) or more years in a shipyard production environment preferably in preservation/structural trades. WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is conducted indoors in an office environment Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk; must be able to view computer screen for prolonged periods of time; must be able to enter date using keyboard accurately and efficiently Must be able to communicate effectively via phone or email with personnel at remote job sites May be required to climb stairs Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen EQUIPMENT USED
