is seeking a
Mechanical Engineer
to support the design, development, and troubleshooting of complex mechanical systems and components for a federal Program. This role reports directly to the Engineering Manager and will be
fully onsite in Oak Ridge, Tennessee .
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer: Assist in designing, building, and troubleshooting:
High vacuum systems Helium leak detection equipment Composite and machined parts and assemblies
Support design and analysis of structural and dynamic systems Design manufacturing equipment to support fabrication activities Develop specifications for fabrication materials and equipment Assist in the creation, review, and approval of engineering packages for fabrication Establish procedures for assembly and repair of fabricated components Drive process improvement initiatives for internal teams and external suppliers Manage multiple priorities and ensure deliverables are met within schedule and budget Adhere to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, and safety/security requirements Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, manufacturing, operations, testing, quality, and purchasing Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Aerospace Engineering 3-7 years of experience in a professional engineering environment 3-7 years of CAD experience A Master's degree may substitute for required experience Active Q-level or TS security clearance Experience with CREO or SolidWorks Experience using FEA tools and analysis Centrifuge design, testing, or manufacturing experience Experience with QL-1 or QL-2 quality parts/systems Compensation for the Mechanical Engineer includes: Salary Range: $$125,000-$150,000 Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave (if required by law), and Holidays
